How to Use the Photo Gallery... It's not difficult, but there are a few "tricks" that make it more enjoyable if you learn them. At the bottom, are a row of thumbnails of the pix in my gallery. If you mouse-over one, a larger thumbnail pops up. If you click on one of the thumbnails, that pic is accessed. During the time a picture is being downloaded, a "clock" circle appears over the previous pic to indicate progress. There are navigation tools at each end of the row of thumbnails...the plus and minus move right and left one pic. Outside those are icons that go to the end and beginning of the queue. At the far-right of the navigation/thumbnail bar are two icons. The first one either starts or stops a slide show of all pix. The second one causes the full-screen to be used. The full-screen view has a substantially larger image. At the far-left is an icon that moves you up to a catalog of all my galleries, in case you are interested (and that I live long enough to create them). The first time you run the slide show, it may not have all the pix in your cache (a part inside your PC). In that case, the pacing of the images will be variable. After you either let the gallery application sit for awhile (it loads everything in the background) or run it, the cache will have all the pix and it will run at a regular pace (it takes about 7 minutes). If you mouse-over one of the big pix, a banner drops down, giving some information. I hope you enjoy this gallery. If you do or have questions, send me an e-mail (there is a link on the home page). If you have constructive comments about the site in general, I'd like to hear them too. |
